Emerging Trail Leader Scholarship Recipient

I am a nurse by trade, but by passion I'm a trail advocate. I'm currently the volunteer President of the Caliente Area Mountain Bike Alliance (CAMBA), based in Caliente, NV. We are a small but active organization working for the benefit of trails and mountain biking in our region. Because we are small and young we recognize the tremendous amount of knowledge and support that we need in order to continue growing effectively. The ITS is an incredible opportunity for us to network, gain knowledge, and connect with experts for guidance. However, because our resources are limited, we cannot justify sending a representative to ITS when doing so would mean diverting resources from our projects and programs.

I, personally, have an additional interest in attending ITS. Although I love nursing, I'm considering a career transition into trail advocacy and would be delighted to take advantage of this opportunity to learn and make connections that might facilitate that transition. Being awarded this scholarship would be of huge benefit to CAMBA's development and to my personal career goals.
