I believe I should receive this scholarship as I have pertinent trails experience, a desire to learn, and do not have responsible financial means to travel to this conference. I have an extensive background in off-highway recreation, have spent countless hours devoted to growing and supporting the trail system in Minnesota, and most recently, have begun to work for my state's natural resource agency in the off-highway vehicle program. I have a strong desire to learn, as I am passionate about the topic and hope to create a career in trail development. I am currently serving Americorps and the Conversation Corps of Minnesota & Iowa, and working in the public service sector, have nearly zero discretionary income with which to travel to and attend this conference. The stipend offered would provide a means for me to travel to and attend this conference, participate in valuable learning experiences, and learn from industry experts with deep knowledge of the topics being presented.
