With the skills I learn at the 2019 International Trails Symposium and Training Institute, I will improve my knowledge of trail standards, accessibility, and community engagement to better serve Missouri citizens who apply for outdoor recreation grant funding. I am a grants management planner for Missouri State Parks, and serving the public and making recreational opportunities available to all community members motivates me every day. At ITS, I also hope to gain professional relationships with mentors whose insight and experience will help me develop career goals. Lastly, I am excited to meet other trail enthusiasts and have fun!
