Founded in 1999, the Kent County Parks Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding and improving parkland, protecting the environment, and preserving open space. We support the mission of the Kent County Parks Department, which is currently responsible for 38 parks and four inter-community trails.

The Ottawa County Parks Foundation will raise funds to assist the Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Commission in achieving goals for acquiring land, developing parks and providing parks and recreation services to residents and visitors of Ottawa County. It may also assist other organizations within Ottawa County with similar goals. Programs to achieve these goals will include various fundraising initiatives including efforts to secure donations of estates, solicitation of general donations from individuals and foundations, mail and email solicitations, fundraisers including annual banquet, plus other methods to be determined.

Established, in 2003, the Metroparks Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to provide critical support to sustain the Huron-Clinton Metroparks for the enrichment of people and the environment of southeast Michigan. The Metroparks Foundation goals are to support projects at each one of the Metroparks, with a focus on specific projects as identified through each park’s master plan, educational programs and public events.

LMB advocates for bicycle-friendly policies at the State Capitol; provides financial assistance to individuals and organizations with a shared mission; develops and promotes educational materials for bicyclists, motorists, engineers, and law enforcement; runs several annual multi-day cycling tours; and provides bicyclists with an annual ride calendar featuring statewide bicycling events.

Friends of Noxubee Refuge was founded in 2003 as an independent, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, dedicated to conserving our natural resources through volunteer work and fund raising. Friends promote and support the preservation, history, and use of the Noxubee Refuge, as well as assist Refuge staff in carrying out their mandates.

Oakland County's Trail, Water & Land Alliance was launched in 2012 and is a merger of the County's Natural Area Advisory Group and the Trails Advisory Council. The resulting TWLA includes 50+ member organizations each working independently while collaboratively supporting the County's Green Infrastructure Network.
