The Greenbrier River Trail is a 78-mile former railroad now used for hiking, biking and horseback riding. It is the longest trail of its kind in West Virginia. The trail provides many breath taking views as it passes through several small towns, crosses 35 bridges, goes through two tunnels and cuts through some of West Virginia’s most remote areas.

Founded in 2002, the Union Forge Heritage Association created Solitude House Museum and managed the museum until 2012 in High Bridge, NJ. Striving to preserve and protect Hunterdon's history and natural environment on a much larger scale, the 1760 Jos Turner House was founded in Union Twp in 2014.

The Schiff Natural Lands Trust, Inc. is a member-supported, community-based, non-profit organization dedicated to fostering an understanding and appreciation of the natural world through land preservation, environmental stewardship, education and passive recreational activities. We maintain an active nature center and offer a variety of programs open to the public for environmental education, research and passive recreational activities consistent with the preservation of natural areas.
