HoWL Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, founded in Homer in 2009. HoWL’s mission is to empower young leaders through outdoor experiential education by providing fun and dynamic adventures in Alaska. HoWL operates primarily in and around Homer and Kachemak Bay, taking youth on wilderness Expeditions and Day Trips where they learn survival skills, leadership skills, and participate in activities like rock climbing, hiking, camping, sea kayaking, foraging for edible plants, and community service projects through our DiRtBaG programs.

The Friends of Eagle River Nature Center is a non-profit organization that manages the Nature Center and the surrounding area. The Nature Center is located at mile 12 of Eagle River Road in Eagle River Valley. The Nature Center has a cabin and a yurt for rent. The Center also has nature programs, guided hikes and various other services.

The Belknap County Conservation District (BCCD) was established on February 14, 1946 by NH RSA to serve as a non-regulartory implementer of on-the-ground conservation measures and a resource for the leveraging of federal, state, and local funding to assist land managers in maintaining the Belknap County’s land, water and related natural resource.

The Bow Pioneers Snowmobile Club is a non-profit organization established in 1972 to promote the fun of family snowmobiling in a safe manner. Our trail system is maintained in the towns of Bow, Dunbarton, Concord and Hopkinton.

The North Country ATV has over 120 miles of trails. All trails are on private land with over 100 individual landowners. The North Country ATV has worked very hard in corporation with the landowners to make this happen.
