On November 20, 1998, state, county, and private landowners officially formed the West Maui Mountains Watershed Partnership. As part of our 20th anniversary celebration in late 2018, we changed our name to the Mauna Kahālāwai Watershed Partnership.
Watershed partnerships are voluntary alliances of public and private landowners committed to the common value of protecting large areas of forested watersheds for water recharge and conservation values. While the members of the partnership have different priorities, mandates, and constituencies, all share this common commitment.

Founded in 2007, Kupu was developed in response to the growing needs of Hawaiʻi’s communities to train up the next generation in natural resource management, renewable energy, energy conservation and other green job skill sets. Kupu is predicated on the Hawaiian concept of ma ka hana ka ʻike, “in working one learns.”

The Girdwood Nordic Ski Club was Founded in 2008 with the vision of creating a world-class Nordic/Multi-Use trail system within the Girdwood Valley for year-round enjoyment.

The Nordic Ski Club of Fairbanks is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and enjoyment of cross country skiing. Throughout our six month ski season, we organize a variety of recreational and competitive activities for skiers of all ages, including group tours, youth programs, clinics, races, and trail grooming. Members receive The Alaska Nordic Skier newsletter providing information on skiing events and activities around the state.

Central Cross Country Skiing is a non-profit sports organization recognized by U.S. Ski and Snowboard and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) as the regional governing body for the cross country skiing in the 10 state Central Region of the US.
