Bluegrass Land Conservancy protects land in Kentucky’s Bluegrass Region through permanent conservation easements. We seek to ensure a future where the region’s distinctive soils, cultural heritage, scenic vistas, natural resources, and farms are preserved forever. As a nationally accredited, community supported, 501(c)(3) nonprofit land trust, we work on a voluntary basis with landowners, community groups, and municipalities to encourage the preservation of land for agricultural viability, natural habitat, rural heritage, and scenic open space

With members from Huntsville to Mobile and throughout the region, the mission of AHTS is to plan, build and maintain safe non-paved, non-motorized hiking trails throughout the state so that everyone can explore Alabama's beautiful landscapes. ESLC was founded in 1990 as a result of widespread concern that the Eastern Shore’s important wildlife habitat and prime farmland were being consumed by sprawling development. The decision was made by the founders to preserve land on Maryland’s Eastern Shore in order to keep prime farmland in agriculture, to protect unique natural areas, and to perpetually monitor those lands to ensure that preservation is permanent.
