Land Conservancy of Ridgefield, Inc.

One of the oldest land trusts in Connecticut, the Land Conservancy of Ridgefield was founded in 1967 to help preserve Ridgefield’s open space. The Land Conservancy today holds over 710 acres of property in either outright gifts or in conservation easements.

KLT is Kent's community land trust. Our members work to protect Kent's natural beauty and resources. A nationally-recognized leader, in 2010 we became the 2d land trust in CT to be accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission.

Joshua’s Tract Conservation and Historic Trust

Officially known as Joshua’s Tract Conservation and Historic Trust, our nonprofit and largely volunteer conservation organization protects more than 4,500 acres in Northeastern Connecticut. Some properties are owned by the Trust and others are protected by easements, but both methods assure that those lands will remain open space and protected from development forever.

Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust

Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust is leading the fight to save open space and protect the valuable natural resources of Woodbury and surrounding County’s area towns. Incorporated as the non-profit Flanders Nature Center in 1963, Flanders became one of the first land trusts in the area ten years later, when it received its initial gift of land, the 6.5 acre Manville Kettle located in the center of Woodbury. As an organization, Flanders plays an active role identifying opportunities for preserving more land in the future.
