HFIA’s programs promote healthy and productive forests, increased business in Hawaii’s estimated $30.7 million annual forest industry, and more jobs within the sector.

Hawaii Recreation and Parks Society

HRPS is dedicated to advancing the recreation and park field in the state of Hawaii by expanding professional and educational opportunities for its members and supporting programs that provide improved leisure services in Hawaii. The Society acts as an independent voice for the recreation, park and leisure movement at federal, state and local levels and is an affiliate of the National Recreation & Parks Association.

Friends of the Urban Forest

Friends of the Urban Forest helps individuals and neighborhood groups plant and care for street trees and sidewalk gardens in San Francisco. This "green infrastructure" improves the city by beautifying neighborhoods, cleaning the air, and reducing polluted stormwater runoff. Since 1981, FUF has brought communities together to plant more than 60,000 trees, totaling almost half of the city's street tree canopy.
