Urban Planning Innovations, LLC (UPI) was established in May 2022 by Catherine Coyle and Amber K. Dickerson to enable them to continue their pursuit of improving communities. As urban planners, we dream of the fantastic elements to enhance our communities, but the rigid nature of conventional urban planning roles limits both flexibility and resources. These static positions directly impact innovation and creativity within the planning field. By allowing our team to focus on unique planning projects, we hope to spark urban planning innovations to leverage our abilities to impact the built environment substantially. We focus on projects and developments that enrich communities and can stand the test of time.

Working with other government agencies and citizen groups, Conservation & Environmental Lands Management administers a voter-approved preservation program to acquire and manage environmentally sensitive lands.The department focuses on environmental lands management, nature preserves, trails, and Conservation Parks in Hillsborough County.

The River of Grass Greenway is a proposed safe, non-motorized transportation and recreation corridor across the Everglades between Naples and Miami, that provides opportunities for education, stewardship, and preservation of the environmental, historic, and cultural assets of this unique area.
The purpose of the Friends of the River of Grass Greenway (FROGG) is to focus on safety and environmental education and stewardship for those hiking, walking, or cycling through south Florida and the Everglades.
