The Champaign County Forest Preserve District is a local, property tax-supported government agency charged with the stewardship of seven forest preserves covering over 4,000 acres in Champaign County, Illinois. The Forest Preserve District, which covers all but seven sections of Champaign County, was established by referendum in 1935. Due to the Depression and World War II, however, the first park was not opened until 1948.

Riverfront Recapture is a nonprofit organization founded in 1981. We manage, maintain, and operate four riverfront parks and their connected riverwalks and trails. Our mission is to connect people to the Connecticut River, and we do just that, year-round, in our clean and safe parks.

TYO events create a safe place for children to be healthier and leave from the events more confident and self-aware of their abilities to succeed. Kids leave from their adventure a bit sweatier and perhaps dirty, but with an increase in knowledge about themselves and their world.
