Our Mission
The Great Plains Nature Center is a cooperative project between the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks, City of Wichita, and the Friends of the Great Plains Nature Center nonprofit organization. These Partners share a common goal of providing opportunities for the public to investigate, understand and develop an appreciation for wildlife and the environment, while promoting sound stewardship of natural resources.

The WOW Trail is a paved, 10 foot wide, multi-use rail trail in the City of Laconia enjoyed by bikers, walkers and runners of all ages. The WOW Trail is a 501-C3 non-profit organization that raises the funds needed to build and maintain the trail.

Wilderness Trails is a non-profit Christian based camping ministry that exist to build perseverance, character and hope in youth living in southern Oregon. This 160-acre camp is nestled in the Cascade Mountain Range about 18 miles east of Ashland. Each year hundreds of boys and girls are invited from surrounding counties to experience God's love and adventure through camping, hiking, horseback riding, canoeing, campfires and other outdoor activities.
