Located in village founder Augustus Sacket’s historic home, the Sackets Harbor Visitor Center offers exhibits highlighting local history, key sites and architectural features, and the story of the village. Travel and tourism information is available on-site for Sackets Harbor area attractions, tours, and events, as well as travel information for the Greater 1000 Islands and North Country regions.

Established in 1988, Powell Gardens is a non-profit public garden. Maintaining 970 acres of lush, rolling hills and windswept meadows, with more than 175 acres and a large collection of plants open to the public for education, exploration, and recreation. Many of the plants in the Gardens are regionally native, and all highlight the changing seasons within the Midwest spirit of place.

Created by voters in 2000, TSET is an endowment trust established a percentage of payments from the 1998 Master Settlement Agreement (MSA) between 46 states and the tobacco industry. Funds are invested by a Board of Investors, and only the earnings from those investments are used by a Board of Directors to support efforts to improve the health of Oklahomans.
TSET’s focus, as outlined in the Oklahoma Constitution, is to reduce Oklahoma’s leading causes of preventable death – tobacco use and obesity – in order to reduce cancer and cardiovascular disease. As a state grantmaking trust, TSET funds prevention, research and emerging opportunities to improve the health of every Oklahoman.
