PTBA is the trade association for the trail industry including professional trail contractors, designers, and consultants. PTBA currently represents 130+ private sector companies who employ ~2000 trailbuilders worldwide. Since our beginning in 1976, PTBA member companies have designed, built, and maintained tens of thousands of miles of trail.

Rails to Trails Conservancy (RTC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors to build healthier places for healthier people.
RTC’s mission, and its value, is magnified in urban areas, where one mile of trail can completely redefine the livability of a community. Where trails are more than just recreational amenities, creating opportunities for active transportation and physical activity—improving our health and wellbeing—as they safely connect us to jobs, schools, businesses, parks, and cultural institutions in our own neighborhoods and beyond.

Cycle Forward is built on the idea that communities flourish when they invest in trails. As a trails and tourism consultant, owner Amy Camp works with trail towns and gateway communities offering keynotes, workshops, and consulting services. Specifically, she supports communities in trail town development, strengthening heritage tourism, and accessing the outdoor recreation economy.
