The New York State Horse Council (NYSHC) is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization. The NYSHC is your official clearing house for information on horses and horse-related activities within or affecting the state of New York. As professional horse people, we have been proudly serving the New York State horse community since 1966. The NYSHC is the official representative voice for New York horse owners. We create a strong, unified voice for all interests toward the preservation of a future for horses in New York State.

NYSSA works toward improving trails, facilities and services for participants, and defends snowmobilers against discriminatory legislation. NYSSA works to protect landowners, review and watchdog the NYS Trail Fund and is constantly seeking additional Trail funding programs.

Ivan Vamos retired in 1993 as the Deputy Commissioner for Planning and Development for NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) where he was responsible for land and water resource management, development, planning, construction, land acquisition, and environmental programs for more than two decades.
