Trailblazers is a nonprofit formed in 2021 through the merger of NWA Trailblazers, an organization that has developed 300+ miles of multi-use trails, including the OZ Trails network, and BikeNWA, a bicycle advocacy and education-focused organization that has led the region in advocating for active transportation.

The Shawnee Trail Conservancy (STC), a 501(c)3 trail advocacy organization in southern Illinois, engaged officials at the US Forest Service/Shawnee National Forest (Shawnee) in a public-private partnership to utilize Recreational Trails Program (RTP) funding to improve access to public lands for hikers, backpackers and equestrians. The project also enhanced public safety, improved trail conditions and decreased impacts to water quality within the Candidate Wild and Scenic--Big Grand Pierre Creek. This public-private partnership utilized $200,000 between 2014 and 2018 in completing this work.

In 2007, a group of concerned hikers founded Trailkeepers of Oregon. Our work takes the form of trail maintenance projects and advocacy work to restore proper funding to a resource so beneficial and beloved by Oregonians.

We are members of a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization located in Redding, CA. We intend to, through advocacy and collaboration with government agencies, other nonprofits, businesses, and community members, to facilitate the development of a local world-class multi-use non-motorized trails and bikeways system that will connect Redding neighborhoods with each other and the surrounding area.
