Maintenance and Rehabilitation

Stage Coach Trail Improvements - Vermont

Stage Coach Trail Improvements provided unrestricted multi-user recreational access to the area.

The Stage Coach Trail Improvements project was divided into five task areas to identity priority work on the North side of the South of Rt 9 Integrated Resource Project. The work was accomplished along approximately 4 miles of Stage Coach Trail, a Town of Woodford Class 4 Road, and approximately 1.5 miles of FT 391 which runs southeast from Stage Coach Trail to FR 273. The FT 391 work was included because this section of trail provides a bypass around the Stamford Stream ford for hikers, skiers, and others that may need to avoid the ford. The work was necessary to provide unrestricted multi user recreational access to the area. We also completed maintenance activities such as drainage correction in addition to the five task areas.
