Peace Creek Trailhead Construction - Idaho

Idaho's Peace Creek trailhead project

Trailhead project in Emmett, Idaho.

For this project, RTP funds were used to restore streambanks, build a trail bridge, improve dispersed camping sites and add trailhead facilities, including an information kiosk, parking area, restroom, and accessible loading ramp.

In addition, two water-polluting ford crossings were closed temporarily, then rehabilitated and re-opened. These fords were reshaped to mimic natural bank slopes. Crews also installed in-stream structures to protect the rehabilitated banks and improve fish habitat.
