The project connects the 89-mile Nicolet State Trail in Wisconsin to the 107-mile State Line Trail in Michigan. Trails are open to snowmobiling, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, all-terrain vehicles, and off-highway motorcycles.

Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs) are one type of special district allowed by Texas law that functions as an independent, limited government. These special districts are governed by a Board of elected district residents and property owners and have responsibility for providing water, wastewater and drainage services as well as parks and recreation. A MUD lying in an ETJ of a city can be annexed by that city subject to certain provisions and requirements in the state law.

The purpose of the Association is to promote the construction, maintenance, and use of a state-wide trail system, within the State of Ohio, to be supplemented with side trails, campsites, and other facilities, so as to render accessible some of the historical and beauty spots of the Buckeye State. The trail shall be primarily a footpath, but certain portions may be designated for use by horsemen and/or other non-motorized users.

The Buckland Rider Snowmobile Club is a community organization dedicated to maintaining and improving local snowmobile trails and to working in cooperation with other land users and land owners/managers to maintain trail access for winter recreation. The club works to promote snowmobiling as a family oriented sport and to promote safe snowmobiling. The club also participates in state level associations to promote and protect snowmobiling as a sport, and does fundraising to help pay for trail maintenance, trail improvement projects, and equipment.
