Eoin Hogan, Rural Recreation Officer, Clare Local Development Company
County Clare, Ireland

Eoin Hogan has worked in outdoor recreation for 15 years, 7 years as the Rural Recreation Officer for County Kilkenny and then for the past 8 years and the RRO for County Clare. In his time in Kilkenny he set up and managed the award winning non-profit company “Trail Kilkenny” which was the first project in Ireland to integrate outdoor recreational trails (hiking and cycling) with food and craft trails. In 2010 he developed the first digital trail app for the iphone and android and won the Caminoways Fund award for a volunteer trail warden project. In 2014 Eoin moved to County Clare to manage the outdoor recreation in that county. This included the busiest walking trail in Ireland, the Cliffs of Moher Coastal Path. To promote the outdoor recreation he developed a brand “clare-getsidetracked”, the brand was shortlisted for the destination marketing award at the European Sports Tourism awards. In 2019 Eoin won the Outsider Magazine – most devoted to the Outdoor scene award

Mike holds an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering and has led 130 Software Projects with 100 different customers over the last 23 years. Acquainted with many different sectors and industries, Mike’s specialisms include the areas of System Architecture, Mobile Data Collection and Risk & Compliance. Mike is also the architect of CalQRisk, a Risk Management Project that has won a number of global awards. Mike is also the proud developer of Ireland’s first Artificial Pancreas.
