I work primarily on environmental issues and it was that work that made me look at trail connectivity specifically with an urban focus.
What specific tasks do you do on an average day in this position?
I provide guidance and consultation to American Trails on the various initiatives the organization takes on. I bring a community engagement perspective and have experience in Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
What do you love about your job?
I love the ability to make a difference in communities.
Do you have any words of advice for those who might be interested in this type of work?
I think having a diverse group (skills, ethnic backgrounds) of professionals is important.
