Lindsey Jorstad works to engage, collaborate, and support Gwinnett County’s diverse residents, workforce, volunteers, and partners. As a founding member of Gwinnett’s community-wide health initiative, Live Healthy Gwinnett, she takes a proactive wellness approach to address preventable chronic illnesses that impact residents. In 2019, Lindsey was recognized as the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and National Recreation and Park Association’s Health Equity Awardee. As an advocate for positive youth development and diverse out-of-school time programs, she is identified by the National AfterSchool Association as a Next Generation of Afterschool Honoree who eliminates service barriers to expand resources for food access, healthcare, early learning, mental wellness, and sustainable partnerships. A true parks and rec kid, she has grown up utilizing community assets and strives to ensure all children and adults have the same opportunities to explore nature, discover social skills, adopt healthy habits, and give back to their community.
