Kevin Joell is the owner and primary trailbuilder of Sierra Trail Works, a PTBA member company. He has been building trails with organized groups since 1994, leading over 250 volunteer trail days. He has served as President and Trails Director for the Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association, as well as serving on the board of the Biggest Little Trail Stewardship, and chair of the Eastern Sierra Trails Coalition. In 2016, he became a licensed contractor and formed Sierra Trail Works. Since then, the company has built over 50 miles of trails throughout Nevada. When he’s not riding, building, or dreaming about trails, he works as a Fire Captain for the Reno Fire Department.
