The Roanoke Valley Greenway network includes paved and natural surface trails in the City of Roanoke, the City of Salem, the Town of Vinton, Roanoke County, and Botetourt County. The greenway network is part of the bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure for the region and increasingly provides connectivity to neighborhoods via sidewalks, bike lanes, and on-road facilities.

The mission of the Roaring Fork Valley Horse Council is to provide a unified voice for equine related interests by working to preserve access to trails, promoting charitable involvement in equine related experiences and activities, educating the public on equestrian issues, providing connections and resources for the equine community, and supporting the overall well‐being of horses and horsemanship.
