Sakonnet Preservation Association, Inc.

The Sakonnet Preservation Association, Inc. was founded in 1972, the first private, non-profit community land trust in Rhode Island. Sakonnet Preservation accepts tax deductible gifts of land and conservation easements as well as monetary contributions, gifts of securities, and bequests to further its mission of conserving and stewarding Little Compton’s natural landscapes and resources.

Aquidneck Land Trust

Aquidneck Land Trust (ALT) was formed in 1990 by a group of local residents concerned about the pace of real estate development and the increasing disengagement of residents and visitors from the Island’s natural resources. Community support has grown to attract and retain a fully-engaged staff, board of trustees, board of advisors, and other volunteers who serve on several governing and event committees.

Delaware Trail Spinners

We are mountain bicyclists of all abilities joining together to enjoy and promote the sport of mountain biking. Mountain biking is a privilege; therefore, we seek to balance our enjoyment of riding with responsible trail use. We are committed to preserving access to trails through education and advocacy. We volunteer significant time and effort to construct, preserve and improve trails for shared use.
