Mount Pisgah Arboretum is a 209-acre nature education facility where visitors can explore the ecology of the southern Willamette Valley. The Mount Rogers Appalachian Trail Club, a member of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, was organized February 29, 1960. The club has maintenance responsibilities for 59.4 miles of the Appalachian Trail in the Jefferson National Forest, Mount Rogers National Recreation Area, Grayson Highlands State Park and additional trails in the area.

The Mount Shavano Trail and Riparian Habitat Restoration Project will build over 3700 feet of full-bench trail in a more sustainable location, installing 125 timber check steps and 2700 square feet of retaining walls.

MTTA is run as an all volunteer organization. You can support MTTA by becoming a member, providing financial support (donate) or joining our group of volunteers. Ski Patrol volunteers oversee use of the system and trail and hut maintenance is performed with volunteer labor.

Mount Vernon Parks Foundation (MVPF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to improving the Mount Vernon’s parks and recreational facilities and to expanding recreational opportunities in and around the city of Mount Vernon. Mount Vernon Parks Foundation accepts tax deductible donations from businesses and private individuals wishing to support projects and places managed by the Mount Vernon Parks and Recreation Department.

It serves this mission by maintaining a weather station on the summit of Mount Washington, performing weather and climate research, conducting innovative science education programs, and interpreting the heritage of the Mount Washington region.

The Mount Wilson Bicycling Association (MWBA) was formed in 1986 by Alan Armstrong and today is a strong volunteer group still working in the San Gabriel Mountains. MWBA’s initial purpose was to educate mountain bikers about trail courtesy and safety. Today MWBA continues that education work and helps the USFS maintain the trails in the Angeles National Forest.
