Montana Trails Coalition (MTC) was formed in 2017. Its board of directors includes 13 diverse statewide and regional trails and recreation-related organizations. It identified the common issues of inadequate funding for trails, information sharing and education needs, consistency across area and agency boundaries, and the need for diverse organizations to find common ground to solve issues.
