HRATS is a volunteer based, non-profit organization, made up of cycling enthusiasts. Our mission and focus is to engage and unite the cycling community in order to channel enthusiasm to create, enhance and protect the riding opportunities in the greater Hood River area. This includes the area within a 30 mile radius of Hood River, in both Oregon and Washington.

Hood River is a home rule county with an administrative style of government. The county is governed by an elected board of five commissioners. Four commissioners are elected from four geographic districts, and the Chair is elected at large.

The Hoosier Back Country Horsemen is a group dedicated to promote trail riding opportunities on public lands in Indiana. HBCH helps to build and maintain trails on various public lands such as the Hoosier National forest, Fairbanks Landing, and many other sites. Since 1995 the Hoosier Hikers Council has been building, repairing, and maintaining hiking and running trails in the state of Indiana. We provide maps and information for hikers, backpackers, and runners to assist in the use and enjoyment of Indiana trails. The work of our organization is sustained by supporters and volunteers who are motivated by the opportunity to give back to the trails they love to hike or run.
