Friends of the Little Miami State Park

The Friends of the Little Miami State Park (FLMSP) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization working to maintain and improve the 50-mile Little Miami State Park paved trail. We work closely with the Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources to preserve the park’s natural river setting while creating a safe, enjoyable experience for all trail users.

Friends of the Mountains-to-the-Sea Trail

They work statewide building and maintaining the trail, encouraging communities to create new sections of trail, and helping people hike it.

Friends of the Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge

The Friends of Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge was founded in 1993 as a self-sustaining 501(c)3 non-profit organization. An all-volunteer group, led by local citizens, the Friends of NSNWR promote public awareness of the refuge and participation in the learning and growing that occurs every day. We also provide for projects beyond the reach of federally appropriated dollars and augment educational programs offered to the community.

Friends of the North Pikes Creek Wetlands

The Friends of the North Pikes Creek Wetlands is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit conservation organization dedicated to the long-term protection and scientific management of the North Pikes Creek wetlands, and to the responsible use of this unique resource for nature-based recreation and education by people of all ages and physical abilities. The Friends fostered the acquisition of 410 acres of forested wetland properties in the headwaters of North Pikes Creek – located in northern Wisconsin, near the South Shore of Lake Superior – resulting in the permanent protection of this unique habitat, and the creation of Beaver Hollow, a universally accessible community outdoor education area.

Friends of the Northern Rail Trail

The Friends group has the goal of improving, maintaining and promoting the Northern Rail Trail from Lebanon to Concord in central New Hampshire. Construction of the Northern Rail Trail has now been completed as a four-season rail trail for the entire 59 mile length of the state-owned right-of-way from Lebanon, NH on the north through Enfield, Canaan, Grafton, Danbury, Wilmot, Andover, Franklin, and Boscawen, NH all the way to River Road near the Hannah Duston Monument and park-and-ride lot on NH Route 4 in Boscawen. An extension to the Concord city line to connect with the Merrimack River Greenway is planned as is the connection to the Mascoma River Greenway Trail in Lebanon.
