Friends of Florida State Forests (FFSF) is a direct support organization of the Florida Forest Service that supports recreation and reforestation projects on Florida's state forests. FFSF is a charitable not-for-profit corporation, exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, I.D. #59-3504595. Membership dues, donations and contributions are tax deductible as permitted under current law. FFSF is an organization established by Florida statute that supports programs within Florida's state forests and is governed by a board of directors representing all areas of the state. The IRS has determined that FFSF does not have to file Form 990.

The Friends is a non-profit organization created 30 years ago in 1991 to serve as a steward of the parkways in Folsom. Over the years the Friends has provided assistance in determining areas to be included in the parkway system, financial assistance to improve the parkway, and worked with over 2,000 volunteers planting trees, building bridges, removing invasive plants, and other beautification efforts.

Friends of Fourmile chapter of GARNA consists of volunteers from the motorized and non-motorized recreational communities who have special concern for the 100,000 acre Forest Service/BLM area in northern Chaffee County called the Fourmile Travel Management Area. The overall goal is good stewardship of the land’s resources (meaning a minimum of direct and indirect impacts) and maintenance of a balance among various recreational uses.

Great trails don’t just happen. They need help. The Friends of Garland Mountain Trails (FGMT) is an alliance of individuals, organizations, community groups and business sponsors who voluntarily help the Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency (CRPA) provide premier recreational trails and facilities at the Garland Mountain Horse & Hike Trails (GMHHT), a Cherokee County owned 950-acre greenspace park near Waleska, Georgia.
