CRT urges every member and every other organization committed to good trails to make their position clear with a letter to House Congressional leaders, including the Speaker and the Minority Leader and the top Members of the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
Congress is focusing on the need to reauthorize the nation’s surface transportation programs last addressed in the FAST Act five years ago. The Senate took important steps on its version of the legislation late in 2019, and the House seems likely to actively consider its approach very soon. Leaders of the Coalition for Recreational Trails (CRT) have been told that it is vital to show broad support for the Recreational Trails Program and calling for its full funding now, and a growing number of national and state trails organizations are doing just that. CRT urges every member and every other organization committed to good trails to make their position clear with a letter to House Congressional leaders, including the Speaker and the Minority Leader and the top Members of the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.
