The following four programs are being bundled together and being delivered as one workshop called “Volunteer Program Development”. The workshop will include a discussion about operating a program. A review of processes and documents that support budget development, recruiting, training and management will occur.

Crew Leader Program

Implementation of this program results in trained crew leaders able to lead groups of individuals implementing trail projects.

Adopt-A-? Program

If you are considering developing an Adopt-A-Trail/Park/Facility program this workshop will you provide you with the tools to create one.

Trail Ambassador

The purpose of the Trail Ambassador is to greet visitors and provide public relations along trails and at trailheads. The Trail Ambassador provides information, education, and friendly greetings to enhance the safety, knowledge, and experience of trail visitors.

Trail Inspectors

A Trail Inspector supports trail management by completing physical inspections of a trail system. Information collected by the Trail Inspectors is utilized to identify trail conditions and supports determining trail maintenance activities.

American Trails offers learning credits for our Advancing Trails Webinar Series, our International Trails Symposium and Training Institute, and other trail-related conferences, workshops, and webinars*. Learning credits are included in the registration fee unless otherwise noted.

Our webinars typically earn the following credits: AICP (1.5 CM), LA CES (1.5 PDH), NRPA CEU equivalency petition (0.10), and other. Credits are available for live and archived webinars starting with our January 2018 webinar.

CONFERENCES: The amount and types of credits earned for conferences depends on the sessions and workshops offered.
