Webinar Outline

Many of us wear multiple hats at our agencies and often must promote our organization’s natural assets without the support of a marketing and public relations team. This webinar will provide an introduction to entry-level marketing best practices, in addition to the role basic communications can support marketing efforts.

Whether it’s social media or email marketing, you’ll learn to best leverage your limited time to focus on promotional tactics that help you reach your goals.

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain a broad understanding of marketing/communications best practices.
  • Discover what marketing tactics you can adopt based on your budget, time and staff/volunteer engagement.
  • Learn how to create content that can be leveraged across multiple promotional platforms.

    Presenter

Lauren Lemons, Marketing and Public Engagement Specialist, Five Rivers MetroParks
    Dayton, Ohio

Lauren is the Marketing and Public Engagement Specialist at Five Rivers MetroParks in Dayton, OH, also known as the Outdoor Adventure Capital of the Midwest. A conservation agency, MetroParks is home to 18 parks, more than 75 miles of natural surface trails and large portions paved trails that create the nation’s largest paved trail network.

With nearly 15 years of marketing and communications experience, Lauren specializes in social media management, digital marketing, content creation and public relations. She loves storytelling, especially those that inspire people to create connections with the outdoors that promote physical and mental wellness and the advancement of equity outdoors.

Rather than working in the private sector, Lauren has exclusively worked for non-profit organizations and government agencies with community-centric missions, where often one person is responsible for playing many roles.

She likes tall trees, woodland creatures and listens to punk while she trail runs.
