Mineral Ridge National Recreation Trail, Idaho

Managed by the Bureau of Land Management. Mineral Ridge, a day use picnic site, serves as a trailhead for the 3.3-mile Mineral Ridge National Recreation Trail. This scenic trail, rising 700 feet in elevation, offers hikers a lofty overlook of Coeur d'Alene Lake.

B-Line Trail, Bloomington, Indiana

The B-Line Trail, created from a former railway corridor, extends a total of 3.1 miles from the east side of Adams Street through downtown Bloomington and the former railroad switch yard to the north side of Country Club Drive.

North Central State Trail, Gaylord to Mackinaw City, Michigan

The 62-mile rail trail in the northern Lower Peninsula is managed by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. It is open to bicycling, walking, and horseback riding, as well as snowmobiles in the winter months.
