The state of Utah has used innovative programming to keep their citizens safe from avalanche dangers. Although they cannot completely prevent avalanches from occurring, they are educating the public through the Utah Avalanche Center about ways to avoid triggering an avalanche, and how to stay safe should one occur.

The Bugline Trail, located roughly 20 miles northeast of Milwaukee, is getting a big trailhead upgrade from the Village of Sussex, located around the halfway point of the trail. The old Sussex train depot will now serve as a trailhead complete with bathrooms, a bike repair station, and a space for community rentals.

NOHVCC is launching a new webinar series. This initial webinar will be useful for those who are unfamiliar with NOHVCC, its projects and its mission. It will also be useful for those more familiar with NOHVCC but who want to expand their knowledge about specific NOHVCC programs or projects. If you have ever wondered about NOHVCC’s structure, programs, projects or staff, this webinar is for you.
Presented by Ontario Federation of Trail Riders and the Ontario Federation of All-Terrain Vehicle Clubs, with support from local clubs, The Simcoe County Off-Road Riders Association and the Central Ontario ATV Club.
The process of managing Off-Road Trails and Trail Users on a variety of lands is a key discussion amongst the user groups and land managers for trails in Ontario. Trailhead Off-Road brings users and managers together to discuss trails best practice.
Ontario’s ORV Provincial organizations have robust recreational trail programs that include safe and responsible riding practice, club development, insurance, signage, trail maintenance practice, policy and regulation development with higher than average rider compliance. Trailhead Off-Road is the place to learn about these successes.
