In 1987 a White Mountain, Arizona, horsemen’s association of 25 members organized a volunteer group, TRACKS, to build and maintain trails for horseback riding.
The High Trestle Trail Steering Committee, the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation (INHF), RDG Dahlquist Art Studios and Shuck-Britson/Snyder and Assc. raised nearly $15 million to complete a 25 mile-long rail to trail project.
