American Conservation Experience (ACE) and the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit (LTBMU) of the US Forest Service have been partnering on trail projects since 2009.
Constructing a Trailhead Event Area for the off-highway vehicle park that includes an open pavilion, space for vendors, rest rooms, and all-weather storage for trail maintenance equipment.

Bay Area Ridge Trail Council, REI, Chipotle Mexican Grill joined in partnership to organize two REI Ridge Trail Service Days to build, improve, and maintain the trail with more than 1600 volunteers of all ages.

The project connects the 89-mile Nicolet State Trail in Wisconsin to the 107-mile State Line Trail in Michigan. Trails are open to snowmobiling, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, all-terrain vehicles, and off-highway motorcycles.
