This class will cover the basics of this fundamental outdoor activity. Topics include general knowledge about the boats, local and regional destinations for enjoyment, safety, personal gear, basic water and weather conditions, and how to connect with others who share an interest in this activity.
This two-day classroom and field training is a US Forest Service certified training session by Helton Forestry Enterprises. Participants will learn basics of chainsaw job hazard analysis, use and maintenance, directional felling, as well as saw tasks and techniques.

This innovative training offered in partnership with Flagline Trails teaches valuable skills to volunteers, including those who have been involved in trail projects for many years. Drawing upon thousands of hours on the trail and in the classroom, including some of the most daunting trail projects you can imagine, professional trail builders will inspire, educate, and give you the skills you need to be an effective steward and trail volunteer.
A 4-day entry-level course that covers leading a backpacking experience with a youth group. ($120, scholarships available)
A 2-day entry-level course that covers leading an overnight camping experience with a youth group. ($60, scholarships available)
A 6-hour entry-level course focused on leading a successful hike with a youth group. ($30, scholarships available)
