The 2020 Virtual Partnership for the National Trails System Workshop program is now available (note: we are still working to refine the program, including presentations, as well as other learning and networking opportunities). In the coming weeks, we will add sign up links and other information for accessing the virtual conference sessions. This class will cover the basics of this fundamental outdoor activity. Topics include general knowledge about the boats, local and regional destinations for enjoyment, safety, personal gear, basic water and weather conditions, and how to connect with others who share an interest in this activity.

This two-day classroom and field training is a US Forest Service certified training session by Helton Forestry Enterprises. Participants will learn basics of chainsaw job hazard analysis, use and maintenance, directional felling, as well as saw tasks and techniques.
