Michael Alvino, AICP, is the Trails Program Manager at the District Department of Transportation (DDOT). His work focuses on designing, building, and maintaining the network of multi-use trails within the District of Columbia. Prior to his work at DDOT, Michael completed the National Park Foundation Transportation Scholars fellowship program at the National Mall and Memorial Parks where he worked on a range of transportation projects from improving pedestrian and bicycle wayfinding signage to installing electric vehicle charging stations. Michael holds a Masters in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
