Franklin Park, New Jersey

With the skills I learn at the 2019 International Trails Symposium and Training Institute, I will work to improve trail access and active transportation routes in whatever community I settle in. I currently live in Arlington, Virginia, but I am originally from Franklin Park, New Jersey. I do not intend to live in the DC Metro area forever. Growing up in a small suburban town and now living in a large metropolitan area has exposed me to two very different transportation environments. I believe that every person should be afforded the opportunity to move around in their community safely without a motorized vehicle.

For the last three years, I have worked for the National Park Service in various capacities in Washington, DC. In 2019 I look forward to starting a position as a Visual Information Specialist at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in Vienna, Virginia. Through digital and social media promotion, I will work to highlight the park's trails as places for recreation, reflection, and healthy activity.
