Founder and Former President with Tucson Off-Road Cyclists and Activists (TORCA)


Art is the founder and former President of Tucson Off-Road Cyclists and Activists (TORCA.org). TORCA works primarily on the Catalina Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest, is responsible for over 2000 volunteer hours per year and the resurrection of epic back country trails such as Red Ridge and CaƱada Del Oro trail on Mount Lemmon. With his wife Tara, Art is also co-owner of Home Grown Mtb Tours LLC, a shuttle, rental and guiding company . Art is a Tucson native riding mtbs for 20 years and working on trails for 10 years. His favorite tool is the Travis Tool and the Stihl MS241 chainsaw. Currently he is starting to draft elements and funding of a Comprehensive Trails Plan to expand trail opportunities on the Coronado National Forest. The plan identifies over 20 different trail opportunities for mtbers and other user groups.
