Terry Hanson Consulting offers creative talents and over 35 years of practical experience in the planning, design and implementation of river parkway projects including trail, open space, boating access, environmental restoration, interpretive and way finding systems and community parks. In addition Mr. Hanson has extensive experience in preparing and administering state and federal grants. His skill sets includes project visualization, planning, design and project management. Mr. Hanson is an advocate of collaborative planning and implementation. He has extensive experience in the preparation of grant applications and successful grant administration. He has been involved in the collaborative planning and implementation of over $100 million in community infrastructure projects; including the 60 mile Sacramento River Parkway and the 300 acre Turtle Bay Exploration Park on the Sacramento River.

Member of the Board of Directors of American Trails 2000 to present; currently serving as the Treasurer. American Trails is the nation’s leading recreation trails advocacy organization. American Trails is committed to working on behalf of all trail interest to create and protect America’s network of interconnecting trails.

Member of the Board of Regents of the Turtle Bay Exploration Park 2010 to present. Based in Redding, CA, Turtle Bay educates visitors of all ages with entertaining and stimulating exhibitions and programs that interpret the complex relationships between people and their environments. Using the unique cultural, historical, and natural resources in the Sacramento River Region, Turtle Bay serves as a catalyst for exploring universal human experiences.
