In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the Track Chair program which provides access to our local parks and open spaces for individuals with mobility challenges. This position will include leading trackchair programs, reservation management, volunteer supervision, and other associated administrative duties. In conjunction with parks staff, you will also be responsible for assessing trail accessibility and working to upgrade trails to accommodate trackchairs. This position will serve under the Chief of Grants and Trails. The position will assist in planning, organizing and directing the management ofstatewide trails and grant programs related to outdoors. Work requires long range planning, soliciting outdoor recreation projects to apply for fundingunder our grant programs, and develop partnerships within state parks, throughout the state and nationwide (Federal Highway, National Park Serviceand nation wide efforts to better administer and manage the grant programs. Supervises, plans, directs and assists with the management of theadministration of our grant programs. Work crew members (2 for 20 weeks) will work under the guidance of staff assigned by the manager at each respective lake. Work crew members will also work with project staff, USACE volunteers and external volunteer organizations to accomplish some of these tasks.

The interns will support the Rocky Mountain Ranger District Developed Recreation Program on the Helena – Lewis and Clark National Forest. We are located near Choteau and Augusta, MT, and the interns will assist with our summer program of work. The recreation interns will perform campground, trailhead, and rental cabin maintenance in the area of the National Forest that is somewhat roaded. Interns will be supplied with a government pickup and would be driving most days to the forest to work and most of the time be working independently with guidance from the lead Recreation Technician. Interns are required to work 5 days a week with Tuesdays and Wednesdays being their days off. All developed recreation staff are required to work all federal holidays as public visitation is up around those days.

As Crew Leader, you will be working to guide and inspire a team of eight young adult women from the metro Atlanta, GA area. This is an affinity crew for self-identified African American women. The crew will be working on projects such as invasive species removal, habitat restoration, litter abatement, and trail work at West Atlanta Watershed Alliance. Leaders will be responsible for incorporating and planning environmental education curriculum. Project monitoring and data collection will also be required throughout the season.
