New England Appalachian Trail (A.T.) Community Ambassador

Time Commitment: One-year
This position will support New England A.T. Communities primarily with communication amongst the 12 A.T. Communities in the region and as available, support outreach, education, local projects, events and initiatives for individual communities.
This position works directly with the A.T. Community Advisory Committees in each of the communities, as well as the appropriate A.T. maintaining club to identify committee and club needs and support communication between the two entities as well as to the broader regional network of communities.
The Ambassador will host quarterly calls, provide A.T. information to communities, work on highlighting the A.T. in local media and through social media, reach out to potential A.T. Community Supporters, communicate New England successes to the broader network of 45+ A.T. Communities across the east coast, and may recruit local citizens to work on local maintenance, management and conservation projects on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.
This is a one year term volunteer position that provides a stipend of $2,000.00 to support travel and expenses related to position needs.
