
Logistics Coordinator

Time Commitment: The Logistics Coordinator is a temporary position starting March/April 2021 and continuing through September/October 2021.
Washington Trails Association is seeking a Logistics Coordinator who loves working with people and shares our commitment to trail stewardship and volunteerism. The Logistic Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to procure, organize, pack and maintain the provisions needed for WTA’s multi-day trips. It is expected that this position will also serve as a Trail Crew Leader on our volunteer events when not supporting multi-day trips.
The individual will work in a warehouse environment in North Bend, WTA’s downtown Seattle office, and will partake in remote fieldwork to fulfill job duties. This is a temporary, full-time, field-based position that reports to the Senior Manager of Field Operations.
Multiday trip support
Determine food and PPE gear requirements for specific Volunteer Vacation and Backcountry response
team crews; purchase and allocate materials for multiple crews a week
Leading volunteer work parties
Preparing for work parties
Documenting work parties
The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 - $21.25 per hour depending on experience, for training, day trip crew leading, administrative and scouting assignments. Multi-day trips are paid $800 – $850 per 4-day Backcountry Response trip (BCRT) and $1000 - $1062.5 per 5-day BCRT. A supplementary per diem rate of $50/day will be provided for multi-day backcountry trips. WTA provides a cell phone, hard hat, work gloves and safety glasses. WTA does not provide boots, clothing or other personal outdoor and backpacking gear required for fieldwork, but does provide a $100 reimbursement to offset wear and tear on personal gear. Position is eligible for paid sick leave and an employer match retirement plan. Reimbursement will be provided for Crew Leaders who use a personal vehicle to fulfill program needs, unless commuting to/from base of operations.
