High Sierra Volunteer Trail Crew needs your support. Donate or become an active volunteer. Support one of our programs, become part of the Vital Trail Maintenance Program, which has been the heart of the High Sierra Volunteer Trail Crew since its inception in 1995. Enjoy an outdoor trip with family and friends in the Sierra Nevada Mountain range in an experience you will never forget. High Sierra Volunteer Trail Crew offers easy day trips, car camping and long backpacking trips along the John Muir Trail and other locations in the High Sierras. Our Trail Crew trips are a trip of a lifetime. You can participate if you are in good physical condition and are at least 18 years of age or accompanied by an adult. No previous trail building experience is required. If you are new to the Trail Crew and are thinking of attending a Day Trip, Base Camp or Back Packing event, each event offers a different experience.
