Big Basin Volunteer Trail Crew
Posted: May 12, 2022
Location: Big Basin State Park, Boulder Creek; California
Redwood groves in Big Basin Redwoods State Park
A typical workday lasts until mid afternoon. Participation is flexible, with most trail crew members working an average of six Saturdays a year. Since our main focus is maintaining existing trails, we are busiest during the Winter and Spring as we work to keep up with storm damage. It seems we get our largest turn out in the rain. Now our focus is bringing trails back to the public in the aftermath of the 2020 firestorm.
Bring yourself, lunch, water, boots, gloves, and a good attitude. We have tools but you are welcome to bring you own. See you on the trails.
Because of the high volume of volunteer requests, our backlog for training new members is about 1-2 months. Thanks you for your patience.
