2021 Season Crew Members (Colorado)

Southwest Conservation Corps has opened up our applications for crew members for the 2021 season in both Durango and Salida, CO. We have nine different positions with multiple openings under each. All of these crews will start towards the end of May and will run through the end of October, except for the summer ones, which end in early August. Our general site with all of our openings is

Required Qualifications

Some general information about all crews:


  • To qualify, you must be between the ages of 18 and 30
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
  • A US citizen that has received (or on track to receive) a high school diploma or GED
  • All offers of employment are conditional upon completion of an acceptable check of the National Sex Offender Public Registry and federal criminal background check


  • AmeriCorps Education Award (Value may change depending on term of service)
  • Food provided while in the field
  • Uniforms provided (including personal protective equipment)
  • On the job skills in a variety of conservation related activities
  • Wilderness First Aid training
